Have you ever wondered how art intimately reflects the artist's life?
Find out by joining Rotterdam glass artist Brit Hammer for an inspiring evening.
Brit will share the sometimes painful stories behind many of her pivotal artworks, and she will explain how the evolution of her work paralleled her personal and spiritual development. Brit's story begins with her work as a fashion and textile designer in the 80s and 90s and continues through to her current body of glass and fresco cement art works.
By the end of the evening you will see art in a whole new light.
The evening will begin with a 1-hour slide presentation followed by light refreshments and an informal Meet & Greet.
A limited number of books will also be available for signing by Brit. To ensure your own copies, order from Blurb.com at least 2 weeks in advance of the event and bring them along with you.
Brit is the author of the bestselling books Breakout! Your Pathway to Success and Mosaic: Finding Your Own Voice. Her other titles include Reflections: Textural Glass Art and Meditations: Messages From the Other Side.
Brit will be leading a workshop at Maverick Mosaics Art School & Studio on September 18-19 for artists and aspiring artists working in ANY medium. During the 2-day intensive workshop, participants will be guided to finding their own artistic voices and how to promote their work in ways authentic to who they are.

About Brit
A native of the Washington, DC metro area, Brit Hammer-Dijcks (1969) is an accomplished glass artist & designer known for her lyrical fresco cement paintings and powerful abstract fine art mosaics. She is also a motivational speaker and life coach.
Originally trained as a fashion and textile designer, Brit worked for 11 years in the fashion industry - at top brands including Nike and Tommy Hilfiger - but left in 2002 to concentrate full-time on creating art and inspiring others to do what they love.
